Workshop on Visualization for Bigdata

Theme

The scientific advances in the fields of Fluid Dynamics, Nano Technology, Molecular Dynamics, Nuclear Physics, Earthquakes Engineering, Weather forecasting, Disaster management, Astrophysics and Galaxy merger are mainly due to the large-scale simulations of Peta-Exa bytes of data of varying spatial and temporal dimensions. Analyzing the results of such large scale scientific simulations is a challenge and has been astoundingly resolved by present day visualization tools.

Such scientific visualization tools have the ability in scaling up-down the results as per the need by which they brings down the complexity of large scale simulations into user understandable form. In addition to this many visualization tools support collaborative virtual communication between and across the domain specific scientific groups which is essential for the precise interpretation-cum-analysis of simulation results.

In this perspective, the workshop will provide a space where experts working in the scientific visualization fields as well as users can come together to discuss the state-of-the art technologies, tools, interfaces and middleware that are being used at various laboratories.

This workshop will address

  • The aspirations of graphic engineers who are interested to know the state-of-the -art HPC visualization tools and interfaces
  • Experiencing the emerging field of scientific visualization
  • Engineering aspect of large scale visualization environment/middleware
  • In knowing the existing domain specific open source visualization tools
  • Case studies related to setting up distributed scientific collaborative environment
  • Researchers who are interested to know the relationship between big data analytics and visualizing its simulations/results

  • Virtual reality systems
  • Large scale scalable visualization systems
  • Visualization through augmented reality
